KubeLedger is the open source standard for Kubernetes usage accounting, originally created and architected by Rodrigue Chakode.
Leveraging a deep background in High-Performance Computing (HPC) and cloud efficiency, the project was born from a simple necessity: moving beyond simple monitoring to provide a definitive System of Record for Kubernetes costs.
Today, KubeLedger is actively maintained and supported by RealOps Labs, ensuring long-term stability, enterprise-grade focus, and continuous innovation for the community.
Our Mission
We are cloud specialists passionate about Open Source, Cost Observability, and Performance.
Our philosophy is to bring HPC rigor to Kubernetes efficiency. In the era of massive scale, “guessing” resources is no longer acceptable. We build advanced strategies for resource optimization, accurate capacity planning, and cost reduction for Cloud Native environments.
Historical Note: KubeLedger was formerly known as kube-opex-analytics. The project was rebranded in 2026 to better reflect its focus on accurate accounting and ledger-based cost tracking.
